A Tribute to Dr. Hutton
James L. Hutton III, DDS
FEBRUARY 14, 1959 – AUGUST 12, 2024
Dr. Jamie Hutton loved being a pediatric dentist. He enjoyed working with his hands, talking, helping people and building personal relationships with others. Most of all, he loved the Lord, and it showed in his actions and words. He treated others as he would want to be treated. He genuinely cared about and loved his patients and their
families.
Dr. Hutton was a native of Nashville, Tennessee. After graduating from John Overton High School, he received a degree in Biology from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1985. Dr. Hutton completed his residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Dr. Hutton married the love of his life, Pamela Dalrymple, in 1983. Together, they raised two strong, honorable sons. Wesley, a physical therapist, lives in Atlanta, Georgia. Sam and his wife, Emalie, are both dentists in Columbia and they blessed Dr. Hutton with two beautiful grandsons, Timothy James (T.J.) and Eli.
The greatest gift Dr. Hutton left to those who had the honor of knowing him is the life he lived. He taught them to follow Jesus, do the right thing, go the extra mile for others, be kind, treat everyone with respect, live with integrity and countless other life lessons.
Dr. Hutton passed away on August 12, 2024. While he will no longer be physically present in our office, his loving legacy will endure at Children’s Dental forever.
